Youth Triathlon
Swim. Bike. Run.
The YMCA of Alaska Youth Triathlon introduces kids to the exciting world of multi-sport competition in a supportive, age-appropriate environment. Designed for youth of all skill levels, this event focuses on participation, confidence, and fun—rather than competition alone. Participants complete a short swim, bike, and run course tailored to their age group, with YMCA staff and volunteers guiding them every step of the way.
More than a race, the Youth Triathlon encourages healthy habits, goal-setting, and perseverance while building confidence in a positive, inclusive setting. Whether it’s your child’s first race or a new personal challenge, the YMCA provides a safe and encouraging space for youth to discover what they’re capable of achieving.
Confidence in Motion
The Youth Triathlon is open to kids who want to try something new, stay active, and celebrate their accomplishments. Each course distance is thoughtfully designed to match age and ability, ensuring every participant feels successful crossing the finish line. YMCA staff prioritize safety, sportsmanship, and encouragement, creating an experience where youth can challenge themselves at their own pace.
Participants receive clear guidance before and during the event, and families are encouraged to cheer and support along the course. The triathlon reinforces the YMCA’s commitment to youth development by promoting physical activity, self-confidence, and a sense of belonging—values that last far beyond race day.
