Membership Terms & Conditions
Membership Policies & Expectations
By joining the YMCA of Alaska, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions designed to create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all members, guests, staff, and volunteers. These guidelines support our mission of building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Membership Use & Access
Membership is non-transferable and valid only for the individual(s) listed on the account. Members must check in upon each visit and may be asked to present photo identification. Access to certain programs, amenities, or locations may vary based on membership type, age, or facility availability.
Code of Conduct
All members and guests are expected to follow the YMCA of Alaska Code of Conduct. This includes treating others with respect, following facility rules, and using equipment appropriately. The YMCA reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership due to behavior that compromises safety, inclusivity, or community values.
Payment & Billing
Membership dues are billed monthly through automatic payment. Join fees and monthly rates are subject to change with notice. Members are responsible for maintaining valid payment information. Failure to resolve unpaid balances may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges.
Membership Holds & Cancellation
Members may request to place their membership on hold or terminate their membership prior to the first day of the month in which the change should take effect. Requests must be submitted online through the member account, in writing, or in person at the YMCA. Phone requests cannot be processed. Refunds are not provided for partial months.
Guests & Non-Members
Guest access is subject to YMCA policies and may require a valid ID. Guest passes, day passes, and punch cards are governed by current YMCA of Alaska guidelines. Members are responsible for their guests while visiting the facility.
Programs & Services
Participation in programs may require registration, additional fees, or completion of waivers. Program schedules, instructors, and availability are subject to change.
Liability & Assumption of Risk
Members and participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in YMCA activities. The YMCA of Alaska is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
The YMCA of Alaska reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of membership indicates acceptance of current policies.
